Pahrump Fair & Festival
Home Thank you for visiting the Pahrump Fair & Festival Website!

Games & RidesThe Pahrump tradition of a Fair and Festival dates back to September 1968 when a group of locals cleared sand dunes at the site of the present day fair. A fence was constructed and cars and trucks surrounded it in order to hold a “gymkhana”, a BBQ and a dance completed the first year activities.

In the following years a committee was formed to organize and manage the fair. The rename “Harvest Festival” was chosen to signify the farming that was the main occupation at the time.

In 2005 , the Harvest Festival committee resigned the operation of the fair and the town of Pahrump assumed the responsibility. The event was renamed “Fall Festival”, and was managed by the town until 2009.

The new Pahrump Fair and Festival for 2010 will continue to provide the largest annual event in Pahrump. After 46 years, the 2010 “Pahrump Fair & Festival” will be bigger and better than ever. Managed by PAVED, a volunteer organization with the responsibility for the fair operations, the proceeds will go to the town to help fund parks and recreations and most importantly, to build a new bigger fairground to accommodate future events.

The 2010 Fair and Festival is a family event with something for everyone. There will be more vendors, more musical entertainment, a larger carnival, a Saturday Parade, a new beer garden area, an extended arts and crafts exhibition, a chili cook-off, a professional horse show tournament and a “Bull Shot” Show Rodeo with many exciting and spectacular events and acts.

The operation of the Pahrump Fair & Festival requires considerable efforts by volunteers. If you wish to participate, you will find the experience exciting, rewarding and fulfilling to be part of making this the best town event yet. Making a contribution of your time to community events assures that “we can do it spirit” is still alive and well in our town of Pahrump.
